Whirlpool has made a $25 million product commitment to Habitat for Humanity®. This consists of donating an ENERGY STAR® model refrigerator and freestanding range to every Habitat home built in North America through 2005. More specifically:

• Beginning in 1999, Whirlpool Corporation partnered with Habitat for Humanity® by donating a refrigerator and a range to every Habitat home built in North America during that year

• In 2000, Whirlpool became the first Cornerstone Partner of Habitat for Humanity® by committing to donate $25 million in product through the More Than Houses campaign

• Since 1999, Whirlpool has donated roughly 50,000 refrigerators and ranges to Habitat homes in North America

• Over the same time period, Whirlpool has contributed at significantly discounted costs nearly 26,500 other appliances to Habitat affiliates and/or homeowners

To date, Whirlpool donations account for over $22 million, over half of its $25 million commitment to Habitat for Humanity®.
