While Whirlpool® appliance donations serve as the foundation of our partnership with Habitat for Humanity®, our contributions go far beyond that. For example, since the partnership began, Whirlpool Corporation has:

• Sponsored and/or supported and helped build 24 Habitat homes in Whirlpool locations and an additional 36 Habitat houses throughout North America and 10 in South Africa

• 25 of the Whirlpool sponsored homes have been Women Build projects

• Had over 2,500 employees involved in building Habitat homes

• Matched employees' financial contributions to support Habitat or issued Foundation grants to Habitat to an amount of $541,000

• In 2004, Whirlpool's partnership has expanded to include providing appliances to every Habitat home built throughout Europe.

Whirlpool Corporation has expanded its partnership with Habitat for Humanity® by partnering on Women Build projects across the country. With Whirlpool support, crews of women build Habitat houses from foundation to completion. For more information, see Women Build.
